I’d wanted to do regular updates while I was in HK since there’s internet connection. But after the chirpy post on day 1, I fell sick. When they cautioned us that HK flu virus is very strong, they forgot to add the word vicious. Villainous vicious virus, yes, that’s what it is.

High fever, pounding headache, sore muscles all over, watery eyes, cracked lips, ringing ears, super blocked nose, throat inflammation – and (the ultimate!) I seem to have a fountain of mucus in my body. It just kept flowing, neverending! Grossly fascinating! I began to suspect I’m made of 70% snots 30% others.

So now tissue is my new BFF. I truly feel remorseful for murdering half of amazon forest in order to blow my nose nonstop for five days. As penance, I’d take up gardening. When I’m 55.

Anyways, this is meant to be a short post. My phone inbox is flooded with well wishes I’m grateful for. But whenever I think of a particular seven-year-old boy who’s currently battling against cancer, I think none of us has the right to complain over mere flu. Jovan, I’m praying for you.

I can feel the effect of my medicine by now. Drowsiness is taking over… wil do my reflection of LC learning whn i get back to consciounessss…
