the one with peppermint tea

Am taking a break in-between lesson prep. Much has happened over the weekend but am somehow unmotivated to type more than 140 characters at one go. Maybe after the conference. From tomorrow onwards, Andria, Asher, Christine, Dennis, Leon, Petrinna, Rachel, Sharlene and I together with the Ablaze gang will be stepping into…

FUTURE

Totally psyched up for what God is gonna do amongst us!

P.S. Prayin’ that everyone back home will have a smashin’ time of prayin’ tomorrow!

countdown to unstoppable: 36 hours

Here’s a snapshot of our leaders rehearsing for the Battle of the Sexes (though they really did more laughing than practising…)

battleofsexes

These few days the thought of Unstoppable would fill my mind every other minute and whenever it does, I just feel like going to the toilet… It’s a mixture of high-strung anticipation, spiritual agitation, a kind of stirring in my soul, havoc-wreaking holy discontent, and a readiness to surrender – all mixed up in one ball of state of emotion that can’t really be described by words.

I’m going crazeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee……

All I can say now is… Jesus, come.

36 hours to go!!

two weeks to unstoppable

As Unstoppable draws nearer, I recalled something I wrote sometime ago…

i love camp because i can leave my schedule blank for four days and let God do whatever He wants, whenever He wants.. i love camp because i get to see savage boys playing savage games, injuring themselves for the sake of $20 worth of food prize.. whereas a bunch of girls in FBT shorts will abandon their own rooms in order to huddle onto one single bed, giggling over any and every little thing.. i love camp because we get to worship and pray and worship and pray and worship and pray without worrying about going overtime.. i love camp because i get to be still before God for as long as i need to.. i love camp because we get taught by the Ultimate Teacher, Holy Spirit Himself, as we build our lives upon His Word.. i love camp because we get to force our leaders to act themselves silly, then capture them in pictures for future blackmailing purposes.. i love camp because we get to shout ourselves hoarse for no really good reasons and be mightily pleased about it.. i love camp because we worship 24/7, literally, shouting ‘encore’ even when the worship night has stretched till 2am and the musos are dying on stage.. i love camp because of all the lives that are surrendered and poured out before God at the altar, saying, “Your will, not mine”.. i love camp because most of my fave people are gonna be there.. i love camp because my fave Person is definitely gonna be there.. i love camp because i will never be able to walk out of it as the same old shirls, because God’s gonna rock my world and fan my flame into a roaring fire..

i love camp because one Word from heaven can change my eternity
and i believe God has that one Word for every single one of us

unstoppable

Register this Saturday!! Register this Saturday!! Register this Saturday!! Can’t let anyone miss out on this one! For God is taking us to the next level!!

P.S. I also came across an old post I wrote about the church. I realised… I love God’s church today even more than ever. It’s somewhat like chocoholism - an addiction in a really, really good way… Just this one’s even better! Okays, never mind, I’ll try to think of a better analogy soon…
